"独裁国家たるiOS国では、かつて「スクリーンに表示されていないアプリは漏れなく終了しているべし」という固い掟がありました。
iOS4以降この掟は緩和されたものの、依然として「スクリーンに表示されていないアプリは、おとなしくしてろ。あと、ふとした拍子に強制的に終了させられても文句をいうな」というデッドマンウォーキング状態に置かれることに違いはありません。
そのため、iOS国民は「何かあったらホームボタンで無かったことに」という安全策を国王から担保してもらえています。

しかし、自由を謳歌するAndroid国では、なんとバックグラウンドに追いやられたアプリも元気いっぱいに動きまわることが許されており、しかもどうやら多くのアプリはスクリーンから消えてもバックグラウンドで健やかに生き延びるようなのです。
つまり、ホーム画面に戻っても、メモリをバカバカ食い、電力をジャバジャバ消費するうっかりさんが今日もどこかで自由を謳歌していて、気づいたら国力が著しく疲弊しているなんてことが起こり得るのです。というか、何も対策しないと、普通にそんな状態になってしまいます。
そんなわけで、多くのAndroid国民は、大抵Task Killerと呼ばれる警察組織を導入して、このような不心得者を問答無用で射殺することにしています。"
